Louise Hazel
Louise Hazel, International Heptathlete and Commonwealth Gold medallist 2010, is our newest ambassador.
She runs for the Birmingham based Birchfield Harriers which she joined when studying French at The University of Birmingham.
Louise has competed in four major international championships. The first was in 2006 when she came 17th at the European Championships and the second was three years later when she finished 14th at the World Championships. During 2009 she was ranked 2nd best in the country behind Jessica Ennis.
The highlight of her career came at the 2010 Commonwealth Games where she won the gold medal for the England team, with a personal best of 6156 points.
As an Aspire Ambassador Louise will be the face of our Active 4 2012 workshops and will attend events when training permits.
Louise showcases what can be achieved by young people who have the drive, motivation and dedication to succeed. These are key attributes that we look to instill in the people we work with.
Everyone at Aspire Sports wishes Louise well in her Olympic challenge and are confident that her hard work and dedication will do herself, her family, community and country proud.
