PE Curriculum Support for Primary Education
Physical Education is set to become a core subject alongside English, maths and science in 2014.
- Do your teaching staff have the skills, confidence and knowledge to deliver high quality PE?
- Do your PE lessons focus on fundamental movement skills as well as fundamental sports skills?
- Are your pupils receiving high quality PE or just 'taking part' in sports sessions?
For some children and young people, physical education remains their only structured or organised, regular physical activity. It is therefore crucial that all pupils are given the chance to take part in high quality PE and capitalize on their potential so that they can be active for life.
