Active Camps: How we ensure your child’s safety in hot weather

If you’ve heard the news at all today, you will be aware that  we’ve all been urged to stay out of the sun until Friday. You only have to step outside to know it’s going to be a hot one. With our Active Camps taking place this week, we wanted to make you aware of our policies and procedures when it comes to hot weather, to reassure you that your children will remain sun safe throughout the entire week.

In regards to looking after your child in extreme heat, we are:

  • Increasing activity breaks in the shade
  • Encouraging children to drink plenty of water
  • Ensuring every child wears a hat when outdoors
  • Reminding children to re-apply sun cream when necessary
  • Slowing the activities down to allow for the increase in temperature

Our aim is for Active Camps to be full of fun and that means ensuring your child’s safety at all times.

We look forward to you joining us!

Reminder – Please remember to provide your child with a refillable water bottle, sun cream and a hat for use at Active Camps.
