The conference that sees PE teachers, senior leaders, business managers and governors come together to raise the profile of primary PE, sport and physical activity is back.

And it’s not just the date we’re revealing, but also a brand new name!

What was once the West Midlands PE and School Sports Conference is now The Active Primary Schools Conference and is set to take place on Friday 25th November 2022.

The conference has grown year on year since its launch back in 2017.   The new name is a reflection of that growth and fuel for further growth.

With just 36% of children doing the recommended 1 hour of physical activity a day, and the number of children with a probable mental health disorder having increased from one in nine in 2017 to one in six in 2021, it’s critical that PE, sport and physical activity is made a priority in schools.

Together we are stronger; we can reach more children, have more of an impact and inspire healthier and happier lives.

Preparations are well underway for our 2022 conference, with inspirational keynotes, informative theory, and eye-opening practicals already on the agenda. All will be revealed very soon.

If you want to take your school’s PE, sport and physical activity to the next level and inspire more children to lead active lives, save Friday 25th November 2022 to join us at The Active Primary Schools Conference.
