Upcoming Primary PE and Sport Premium Report Deadline

Upcoming Primary PE and Sport Premium Report Deadline

Is your school ready for the Primary PE and Sports Ofsted report deadline next month? We are here to help.

With the doubled Primary PE and Sport Premium continuing into the 2018/19 Academic year, all schools have the opportunity to further improve their PE and sport provision. DfE and Ofsted will be ensuring all schools are accountable for their spend through Ofsted Inspections, online reporting and accountability reviews.

As outlined in the DfE Guidance document for the expenditure of Primary PE and Sport Premium, the premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and school sport. The funding must be used for the benefit of all pupils and to encourage the development of healthy active lifestyles for all children in your school.

Ofsted require a report from all schools on the use of their Primary PE and Sports Premium. Ofsted require that all schools publish the amount of Primary PE and Sport Premium received; a full breakdown of how it has been spent (or will be spent); what impact the school has seen on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment and how the improvements will be sustainable in the future. The deadline for this report is 4th April 2018. If you need an effective reporting tool, we suggest using the tool developed by afPE and the Youth Sport Trust

Aspire is here to support you to ensure your Primary PE and Sport Premium is spent in an effective and sustainable manner in addition to providing Ofsted with a substantial report. At Aspire we have an afPE PDB accredited
